Heya, you have developed quite the awesome tool! I'm super impressed and look forward to using this as our main tool to further develop our custom map. There is just one thing, is it possible to add in template support? By that I mean, if we select a bunch of items such as an entire structure, save it, then would it be possible to save them as a template that the other staff could load up to place that building, etc. I feel this would help everyone tons out there, not to mention allow us to create a set of structures, and then drop them anywhere in the game world.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.  :D

That's one of the points on my internal todo list. I can't give you a date when it will be added, but it will.
Thanks for your interest :-)

Okay, that is awesome then! Because our team loves the tool and think it can be one of THE premier map collaboration tools. I'm eagerly waiting for you to support the WorldMaker tools that punt had created. He uses a .mlt format which I would love to see if CentrED would support it. At least import it. If not, then there is a way around it if you had your own in-tool template system. Any ideas of how you think it will work?

Too bad there isn't something where people can connect in with their IDE to do scripting for their server. That would be cool. Then from the IDE once logged in, they could manipulate their EMU of choice through it. But that is another project for another day.  ;)

Nice to hear :) I plan to implement the template creation via a selection tool - you select the area which will be saved into a (probably multi.txt) file. Maybe I will use my own format and also offer saving of the underlying terrain tiles. Ofcourse it would be nice to support punt's MLT format (as I'm a great fan of his tools too, mostly WorldMaker inspired me for doing MulEditor and CentrED), but I yet have to find out more details about it ... which shouldn't be THAT hard, given that it's opensource.

If you ever need the source code, I have a version of it somewhere on my HDD on one of my computers.  :D I believe there is a thread on Ryandor that has a link to all of his projects too.
