Hitman, a very big thanks to you. Your complete map editing tool is beyong awesome. It makes land tile work easy not to mention provides a live view of your z-axis work.

I have been working with it for a short while not and seriously you have provided the means to create the most map ever. I will most likely post some pictures when I finish off areas.

I do have some suggestions that could improve the application.

When you select a tool you often have several sub options, it would provide a better workflow in the options would in a sub bar or at the empty space on the bar. An example of this is seen in photoshop. It would allow you to quickly tweak options as your need changes.

The second option that would be useful its a translucent grid overlay to highlight the slope. I have been currently working with mountain regions and have had a hard time making them look good as its hard to tell teh slope on rock tiles. I came up with a trick of drawing the mountain region in stone pavers doing the z work I need and the drawing over with mountain tiles. The stone pavers provide a perfect grid pattern that really allows you the see the slope on the tiles.

anyways an excellent job sir

Thank you again for this wonderful tool.

I think a grid is not a bad idea. I've noted it on my todo list.
Regarding the options, I'm not yet sure how to integrate that without taking away too much workspace. Currently the design is to show the tool related options whenever the tool is invoked (even when it is already active). Since there are several ways to invoke it - via the toolbar, the right click menu and the hotkeys - it should be already more or less easy to access them. But if I get an idea how to implement an alternative way, I'll do it :)

I know I'm a bit late, but do you have any plans of when the next release will be? I'm looking forward to the template support for the maps, this way at least it will make my staff easier to create custom structures and have the other builders have access to the templates to place on the map.

Great work, and I can't wait for the next update!

No sorry, I have no estimate ... my exams have a slightly higher priority :)
But don't worry, I still make enough plans about CentrED ;-)
