Hello i'm new in map making (for UO) and i have a little question for the start. I want to make 2-floors building with stairs but i can't figure out how to use the layers. Stairs are raised up for 10 points so i'm setting layer to +10...and i have something like that :

(red text says : "mouse pointer here")

but as you can se, i can' put tiles 10 points higher becouse they're setting up on layer 0 !

I'm not very good in english so if you don't understant ssomething, just ask me torewrite it ;)

thanks !

The highlight is there to show you above which tile your cursor is currently positioned - when you place the tile it should land on the virtual layer lvl.

Unless you've got the "force altitude" checked - in that case the tile will land on the specified there z-lvl.

Btw... a second floor should be at least at +20 from the ground floor ;P (unless smthing's changed :D)

A... no i jak co to prv ;P

well after left-click, my tile is landing on layer 0 ;/and if i'll check "Force altitude", i'm getting some kind of mountain :P just look : (it looks like tile upped by 10)

Nobby

You are using land tiles - uncheck the "terrain" checkbox and find the proper tiles in the statics section ;)

Bajki

yes i've just discovered that only static tiles can be put on other layers !! :) but thanks anyway:)

Im sorry to use your post to make this question, but im doing some second-floor things too.
I placed the floor, and then the statics tiles with +20 altitude, the problem is when i log in to the server, and for example 2 persons are on the second floor: You see yourself in the second floor, but you see the other guy on the first floor, and the same thing happens to the other guy. (but they are both on the second floor).
Anyone else had this problem?
