You could use UOFiddler, simply check in Options "New Mapsize" and rewrite map/statics

I never had such a problem, so no idea :)
You can try RadMap Copy, or varans mulpatcher, i think they have the features.

Your static files are for the old size..
Your map0.mul is for 896x512
but your staidx0.mul has the size for 768x512
You can easily check that yourself:
staidx0.mul for 768x512 has the filesize of 4.718.232
and
staidx0.mul for 896x512 has the filesize of 5.505.024

Maybe you can create a clean new staidx0 and then merge it with the old. The tool that you used to create the files produces nonsense...

Either the zip file is corrupt  or my winrar does not support the compression method :)

As already said your static file size depends on how many static items you have on your map and thus have no bond to your map.mul.
Maybe you should post your map0.mul,statics0.mul,staidx0.mul

And to make it clear:
your map*.mul is a file with fixed size, since every coordinate have exactly one entry in this mul
your staidx*.mul is the index file so the client knows where to look inside the statics*.mul (also fixed, cause it holds a pattern)
your statics*.mul file contains every static item on your map if you have 0 static items the size is ~0 the more items you have the bigger it gets

I think we all use custom maps :)
As I already said there is somewhere a tool to fix corrupt static files.

Your statics.mul/idx shrinks/grows with every static item you add/delete, so it makes no sense to fix the size in the program.
I would guess that your static files are someway corrupt. Somewhere here in the forum there is a link to staticsdefrag maybe this tool can fix your static files.

statics.mul/idx has no fixed size... only mapX.mul so your problem lies somewhere else

Bugs / rendering engine
September 19, 2007, 05:52:35 PM
Its seems to be a bug in the rendering engine.
I made a watercoastline with the water cornerparts. In CentrED everything shows correct. But IG the small cornerparts were not drawn. In punts worldeditor they also disappeared, so i could correct the mapheight of the cost until they are drawn.

Ground z=0  "x"
waterunderground z=-15 "o"

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxOooooooo
oooooooooooooooo

And then staticwatertiles with z=-5 above the underground. The watertile at place marked with "O" disappears IG but not in CentrED.

Feature Requests / Random Altitute

I really miss the feature to add a random z while painting maptiles just like Worldforge.
I would be great if you could add this feature.  :D
