Bugs / Re: The connection/authenticating box bug
September 08, 2007, 02:44:37 AM
Its generally off a first start of the server and initial connection from a client is attempted. Or, the first attempt of a new client for the first time to the server.. Cant really narrow it down past that, but thats the only two ways its occured for me. (somewhat 50% of the time though) windows XP Pro fully updated.

Support / Re: Using Large scale commands
September 03, 2007, 07:57:03 AM
I think I found the answer to the filtering large scale commands.. I didnt actually click on the checkbox.. doing so brought up the options for filters and that.

Although, I can not seem to figure out the Copy/Move command.  Been trying to move a small island to another location on the map, with no results. Can someone give a quick explanation on how to use that?  Maybe a simple one rectangle area to copy and move. I have tried several different things, and nothing has made any sort of change.

Support / Using Large scale commands
September 03, 2007, 02:58:13 AM
Is there a way to delete specific statics within an area, with the large scale commands?  Like if I wanted to wipe a large area of a specific rock that might be randomly placed throughout the forests? Or if I wanted to wipe all trees from the world, and start over with bare forests.. etc.

Currently all I see is only the 'delete statics' check box, with no filter or any kind, but I overlook things easy too  :P

Feature Requests / large selected area confirmation
September 03, 2007, 02:26:14 AM
I was thinking that there should be some sort of toggle to turn off this confirmation box. I know it can (and will) lead to accidents, but tied in with an undo history, a person could be safe without having a confirmation popup everytime a larger area is selected for edit. I would at least like the option to turn it on/off.

Bugs / The connection/authenticating box bug
September 01, 2007, 08:54:14 AM
If you fire up the client andenter the wrong password to your account, it will fail to connect as it should, but the little connection/authentication popup box will never go away..  just sits on the desktop 'authenticating' with no way to close it.
If you ignore it, and again start the client failing to enter correct password, yet another dialog box will remain forever.

Feature Requests / Tool's option selection box's
September 01, 2007, 08:50:27 AM
After using the tool awhile, one thing that has started getting annoying is for forced tool option box every time you switch tools. Could those tool option box's be limited to the buttons on the GUI, and if you use the right click of the mouse to select a different tool, it uses the last option set?
Hope I explained it right. Maybe you have a better idea on this too, but it does start getting annoying when doing repetative tool switching, and the tool options are not needed changed between switching all the time.

Bugs / Re: Timed Out

I have not had any one time out since your last version release of 0.3.4

Great tool, how about ability to have the server load all 4 maps, and switch between them from the client?
Some of us are editing more than one map for a shard.. It may seem petty, but just that little support would be superior to having to shut down the server, and reload it after editing the config file for the alternate map and size.

I have this same issue, though i have not ran enough to base on any time frame or other occurrences.

Client just closes without warning, while server remains running with the message of the client timed out.

Thanks Hitman, I figured it out. The *.mul files were being read by the emu already, and the CentrED server would not load.

Having trouble too, with the command prompts for the server setup. I think I enter the paths correct, but not sure exactly what the command prompt is expecting for an input on the others.

CMD prompts:

port [2597]:    <--  is that waiting for my manual port entry? the IP adress and port? and any syntax?)

the *.mul file prompts are simple enough...

map width [768]:  <-- again.. is it waiting for my manual entry of a simple 768?
map hiegth [512]:   <-- same as above

can you give some sort of example *.ini for a 'standard' type of configuration?

Thanks, cant wait to give this thing a go, just held up on the command prompt exact entries.
