After a loooong time, a new version is finally available.
Thanks to the effort of
Turley, a member on this forum, an important new feature found its way into CentrED. From now on it is possible to define groups of regions on the map and assign accounts with them. If an account has one or more regions assigned, he will only be able to edit anything within these regions. Therefore it is now possible, to build specialized groups of users who should only work on specific projects.
A slightly more detailed list of changes follows:
Client:- Added regional restrictions to accounts
- Visualize these restrictions for users
- Added better GTK2 compatibility to the Linux version
- Map tiles can now be drawn with a random altitude modificator
Server:- Added more detailed startup messages
- Changed config file to use XML
- Bumped config file version to 3
(A converter for Linux and Windows [with source] can be found here (//http://www.aksdb.de/CentrED/Tools/cedserver_config_2_3.zip). Just put it in the same directory as cedserver.ini and execute it.)
On both sides a few memory leaks were removed.
